EXAM. FEES INCREASED
Substantial increase in examination fees would no doubt come as a shock to many parents, the headmaster of Mairehau High School (Mr A. B. Ryan) told members of the board of governors. “School certificate fees remain the same at $1.50 a subject, but fees for university examinations have been increased considerably.” Fees for 1968, with 1967 figures in parentheses, were: university entrance $9 ($6), bursary $l5 ($11), scholarship $2O ($11), he said.
