Appeal By Mr Kirk
(N.Z. Press Association) WELINGTON, July 10. The Leader of the Opposition (Mr Kirk) tonight made an eleventh-hour appeal to the Freezing Workers’ Union to call off its planned national ban on the loading of export produce from all freezing works.
In a telegram to the general secretary of the union (Mr F. E. McNulty) Mr Kirk urged the union to leave the problem in the hands of the Federation of Labour.
