Soccer Coach Criticised

Mr A. Wilson expressed concern that the national soccer coach (Mr J. Schwanner) was spending little time in Christchurch, at the Canterbury Football Association’s management committee meeting last evening.

“We are helping to pay his wages, yet he has done only two days and a half coaching In Canterbury this season and is not likely to do any more. “Is he the New Zealand coach or is he- looking after the players in Auckland?" Mr Wilson asked. “We do not see enough of him to warrant the amount of money we are paying. ’ '•■'*' “We do not seem to know where he Isor get the benefit of his knowledge, I would like to move a motion that he be based in Wellington next season.
