Fittings Taken
A car stolen from Scarborough Hill early on Saturday was later found in the Heathcote rubbish dump in Truscotts Road stripped of all easily detachable fittings. The 1960 vehicle is owned by Robert Charles Edwards, of Woodend. The car had been stripped of wheels, headlights, chrome work, gear lever and inside lights. The fittings stolen were valued at more than $2OO. On Saturday night a sun visor, wing mirrors and a car radio, valued at $92 were stolen from vehicles in the Christchurch City Council car park in Manchester Street. A man has been arrested in connection with the offence.
