American Firm Interested (N Z Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 12. New Zealand meatmeal and bonemeal is so cheap that an American firm wants to buy it to resell it to countries where demand exists. Mr L. Brewster, a vicepresident of Wellens and Company, who is in Auckland with the American trade mission, says New Zealand apparently does not make a regular effort to sell in the markets of the Pacific—the Philippines and Japan especially—nor in the Middle East. “I estimate .here is a potential 5300,000-a-year market in these areas, and it is growing all the time as producers in the broiler chicken and pig industries rely more on formula feed such as meal and less on natural feed,” Mr Brewster said.
