Three Charges Withdrawn

AUCKLAND, May 9.
Three charges against Mihaly Bede, aged 27, were withdrawn by the police today with the leave of Mr M. C. Astley, S.M. Bede appeared on charges of possessing burglary instruments by night on December 2S, assaulting Peter Henry Williams on the same date with intent to facilitate flight, and possessing gelignite at Ohinewai on April 9, except for some lawful, proper, and sufficient purpose. He appeared handcuffed to a detective. Sergeant P. C. Wood said Bede was awaiting sentence in the Supreme Court on 10 charges. He asked leave to withdraw today’s three charges. Counsel, Mr B. K. Shenkin, consented.
