Shearing Display
Demonstrations by two shearers at the Bishopdale shopping centre last night drew crowds of shoppers. At most times about 150 people watched. Mr R. Harris was one of the three shearers who set a New Zealand record of 1000 sheep a day, Mr Harris himself shearing 306. Mr R. Perry has been a: finalist in the New Zealand! Golden Shears competition! fdr blade shearing five times in the last seven competitions. Both blade and machine shearing were demonstrated.
