Business Security
The robbery of the Blenheim Post Office emphasised the need for companies which held money and valuables on their premises to heed the warnings of police crime prevention officers, said Detective Sergeant E. J. Stackhouse yesterday. Detective Sergeant Stackhouse, crime prevention officer for the Christchurch police district, has toured part of the South Island investigating the security of business premises and making recommendations. He paid particular attention to banks. “The number of burglar alarms installed in business premises in the last two years is encouraging. All firms should have effective security devices to protect their valuables.” he said.
