(N.Z.P A.-Reuter— Copyright) EASTBOURNE, April 16. Marshal of the Royal Air Force Sir John Salmond, a pioneer of British air power, has died at his Eastbourne home, at the age of 86. Sir John Salmond, one of the world’s earliest military flyers, was second only to the late Lord Trenchard, who was known as the “father” of the R.A.F., for his work in the creation and survival of the service, which is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary this year.
