Poet-Actress Dead
(N.Z PA.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, April 16. Miss Iris Tree, daughter of one of Britain’s greatest actormanagers, the late Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree, has died at the age of 70. Miss Tree, whose second marriage was to Count Friederich Ledebur, was a poet, playwright, actress and society-hostess. Her father, who died in 1917, was the first man to play Dr Henry Higgins in George Bernard Shaw’s “Pygmalion," and was directed by Shaw 'himself.
