The Department Is equipped with an English Electric KDF 9. an older machine (SILLIAC), and a CDC. 1700, which have been interconnected to operate under computer control as a network with a number of remote consoles. PDPB with display facilities, and an IBM. 7040/1401 are also being connected so that they will participate in the facilities of the network. The Department conducts a postgraduate Diploma, and offers a course in the third year of a B.Sc. sequence and an Honours year.
