Supreme Court GOLFBALL IN EYE

A man struek in tht ey* by a golf ball during a tournament at. Amberley in 1965 has brought a claim, in the Supreme Court, for $6OOO general and $1212 special damages against the man who played the ball. A jury was empanelled before Mr Justice Maearthur yesterday afternoon to try the case, which will begin this mornitig. It could not start yesterday because witnesses were not available, the caae having been advanced unexpectedly in the list. The plaintiff is Kenneth Gordon George Logan, a wool and skin buyer, of Waikari (Mr R. A. Young), and the defendant, Percy Baker, a CulverdCb fanner (Mr J. G. Leggat). Statement Of Claim
Mr Logan, in hla statement of claim, gays that while standing at the eleventh hole during play, In a tournament at Amberley on September 18, 1565, he waa struck in the right eye, by a ball played by the defendant from .the fairway approaching the greed. Mr Logan afiya the injury has left him with reduced vision in the eyes for which he claims damages. Mr Baker does not dispute that it was he who hit the golf ball Which'Ar,uck Mr Logan,
