New Selling Rights

Th« United States Treasury Mid yesterday it would allow American gold producers to export gold freely to foreign buyers and to sell it to domestic users. This means domestic gold producers—which account for • relatively small share of world newly-mined gold supplica—may obtain higher prices in overseas gold markets.
Since 1934, United States gold producers had to offer their gold exclusively to the Treasury, which in turn was required to buy it at the fixed price of SUS3S fin ounce.
The Treasury was announcing amendments tb its gold regulations as a result of the egreements announced by the international gold conference.
