Anzac Day Sought
“The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND. The Auckland Trotting Club will seek approval to hold a meeting on Anzac Day next year. “We intend to apply for this date again,’’ the secretary of the club (Mr J. W. Fair) said yesterday. The executive of the New Zealand Trotting Conference refused an application by the club to hold a meeting on Anzac Day this year. No reason was given, according to Mr Fair. The club had lodged a formal protest against the decision.
