(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright)
NEW DELHI, Deb. 4. The Indian Prime Minister (Mrs Indira Gandhi) said today that her son, Rajiv, and the Italian girl he will marry. Miss Sonia Maino, undertook a “test of love” with a fouryear separation after they met. “Four years was a good period for this test,’ she said. Mrs Gandhi was talking to petty officers aboard the Indian naval ship Mysore, in which she is travelling to the Andaman Islands in the eastern Bay of Bengal. She said Miss Maino, aged 21, who came from Orbassand, near Turin, was a very nice girl and had already started behaving as her daughter. She said Rajiv, now 23, had written to her four years ago that he had met a girl he would like to marry. Both were then studying at Cambridge.
