End Sought To Slavery
(N.Z.P.A. -Reuter—Copyright) NEW YORK, Feb. 6 The United State* yesterday proposed that the United Nations study the possibilities of international police action to curb slave traffic. A draft United States resolution to the Commission on the Status of Women—which has before it a report stating that slavery still exists in many parts of the world in spite of a convention forbidding it—requests the SecretaryGeneral (U Thant) to launch an urgent appeal to all States to adhere to the convention.
