LEAGUE FINAL
Extra Time Proposal (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Extra time of 10 minutes each way is proposed by the International Rugby League Board if the world championship final at Sydney on June 10 ends in a draw. Two points will be awari'ed for a win and one for a draw in the six matches leading to the final. The first two teams will contest the final, but where two countries have an equal number of points the finalists will be found on the points for, points against record. This proposal—and others—for the tournament, which will be held in Auckland, Sydney and Brisbane, will be con. sidered by the New Zealand ! Rugby League Council at its [ next meeting, on February 6. The match programme will be:—May 25, Australia v. Bri- ’ tain, at Sydney; France v. New ■ Zealand, Auckland. June 1, I Australia v. New Zealand, Brls- , Parte. June 2, Britain v. France, ' Auckland. June 8, Australia v. ’ France, Brisbane; Britain v. New Zealand, Sydney. June > 10. the final in Sydney.
