Apprenticed No Longer
“The Press” Special Service HASTINGS. R. B. Marsh completed his apprenticeship to the Hastings trainer, K. H. Quinllvan. yesterday. He will remain attached to the Quinlivan stable as a free-lance rider. Marsh was the leading apprentice, with 52 wins, last season. This year he has ridden 26 winners. The season before last he was the second most successful apprentice with 23 winners, and in the previous year, his first, he rode one winner.
He has ridden 102 winners. His 100th success was on Udare in the President's Handicap at Hastings on New Year’s Day.
