Stewardess 100
(NZ. Press Association) GISBORNE, Jan. 22. A former ship’s stewardess, Mrs B. K. Whikstone, celebrated her 100th birthday in Gisborne on Saturday. Mrs Whikstone retains her faculties, and does not consider reaching her 100th birthday remarkable. However, she derived a great deal of pleasure from congratulatory messages sent to her by the Queen and the Governor - General (Sir Arthur Porritt).
