Flowers In Paris
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) PARIS, Jan. 22. The flower girls plan to take over Paris fashion in the spring collection. In an all-out return to femininity, floral trimmings are back, and belted waistlines, flared skirts and frills will replace the shapeless chemise and other recent styles based on stark simplicity. Flowers will bloom everywhere, from the hemline of Christian Dior evening gowns to millinery and printed fabrics.
Hemlines wil generally be short, with Dior and Yves St Laurent keeping knee-length hemlines for day wear.
