10,000 Callers More than 10,000 persons have called at the decorated

Mr Stillwell said that persons from all parts of the South Island and some from the North Inland had called at his exhibition, which would continue until the end of the school holidays. Teachers’ Course [ A six-week course for teachers responsible for cial classes for backward children in secondary schools will be held at the Templeton Hospital and Training Centre from March 24. Mr D. Callander, senior adviser on backward children for the Department of Education, will direct the course, which will include subjects such as teaching techniques, child development, curriculum design and practical work. Vocational units for backward children were established in 1962, and by February 28 this year, they will offer courses for about 550 pupils. Fifth Cat Found Sheba —a long-haired, tor- j toise-shell, Persian cat—has i been returned to. her home in Dallington Terrace after spending more than three weeks roaming the streets of Christchurch. She is the fifth of six cats which escaped from the Alameda pets’ home in Linwood Avenue after intruders broke‘open a pen on December 29. She was found in Worcester Street, not far from Linwood Avenue. The cat still at large is Tabatha, a honey-coloured, shorthaired, female with white chest and four socks. She could still be wearing her collar, with No. 13 on it.
