DISPLAY AT LINCOLN
Topdressing Planes
Four agricultural aircraft will give a demonstration at Lincoln College next Saturday afternoon, to which the public are invited. The demonstration is being organised for delegates to the engineering section of the congress of the Australian and New Zealand association for the Advancement of Science. Before the flying begins, Mr R. S. Scott, of the Department of Agriculture’s Invermay research centre, an authority on problems of distribution from aircraft, will speak, and Mr P. H. F. Rowley, managing director of a Canterbury aerial topdressing company will discuss engineering problems. Later Professor J. R. Burton, director of the New Zealand Agricultural Engineering Institute at Lincoln, will discuss research planned by the institute. A display of the work of the institute will be held at the institute's workshops.
