International Air Fares
Sir, —Some shipping lines are honouring the contract with passengers who paid their fares before devaluation. Those with deposits will also be protected. Air travellers do not receive this ’consideration and all are asked for extra money even though their fares, too, were paid for before devaluation. As “Also Taken for a Ride” asks, could a salesman behave thus?—Yours, etc., E. E. SMITH. December 1, 1967.
