Second Grade Tennis
The Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association’s inter-club competitions opened on Saturday with the second grade mixed played on the hard courts at Wilding Park. Results were: Section I University beat Riccarton Domain by 11 matches to 5; Spreydon beat North Linwood by 13 amtehes to 3; Elmwood beat Beckenham by 106 games to 103.
Edgeware beat Shirley by 13 matches to 3; Fendalton beat Barrington by 11 matches to 5; Linwood Avenue beat St. Mary’s by 16 matches to 0.
