Guides In Parade

Queen’s guides from all parts of New Zealand will be received at Government House on Saturday by the Governor-General (Sir Bernard Fergusson) and Lady Fergusson. The 106 girls, holders of the highest guide award, will be joined by Queen’s scouts at the parade. The guides will arrive in Wellington on Thursday morning. On Thursday evening Lady Hillary will talk to them about mountaineering. On Friday they will visit Parliament, where they will be received by the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake).
