MiG PILOT DEFECTS
Crash-landing In Field (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) BONN, May 26. A Russian Air Force lieutenant yesterday belly-landed his MiG fighter in a West German field. Uninjured but dazed, he was found by a civilian and later taken into custody and handed over to American authorities, a Bavarian official said. He had asked for political asylum, the Associated Press said.
The aircraft, believed to be a MiG 15, is being guarded by West German police.
