Flag Over Marae
(N.Z. Press Association) HAMILTON, May 23. A crowd gathered at tribute to Queen Te Ata-i--rangi-kaahu. Her personal flag was raised over the marae for the first time at 7 a.m. After Sunday’s crowd of 10,000, the number had dwindled on Monday, but Maoris by the thousand came back to the marae today to pay their respects to the new leader. Today’s festivities commemorate the accession to the throne of the Queen one year ago.
