PARKING AT HOSPITAL
Complaints To Board The introduction of 60minute and other parking restrictions in the vicinity of the Christchurch Hospital was discussed at yesterday’s meeting of the North Canterbury Hospital Board, when members complained. “It’s time we tried to get something done,” said Mrs R. M. Macfarlane. “This parking is really awful. Sometimes, we have to go two streets away. I spoke to' my husband about it, but he won’t do anything.” The restrictions caused a great deal of frustration among the staff, said the chief medical superintendent (Dr. L. M. Berry). When Mr H. O. Hills suggested that the board might have areas that could be used, it was stated that the small parking area near the office was generally taken up by staff cars.
“I’ve got to leave home earlier and earlier to be on time for meetings,” said Miss B. Webb.
