Marsden Pt Power

(N.Z. Press Association) WHANGAREI, May 9. Electric power from the Marsden power station, the first oil-fired power station in this country, was fed into the national grid today. The power output will be gradually brought to a maximum of 40 megawatts. This will be maintained for a period not exceeding six days from the time the turbine and generator started. Then the plant will be stopped and checked again.
