AWARDS FOR CRAFTSMEN

Details of the 1967 overseas training awards for young craftsmen are expected to be announced before the end of the month by the New Zealand Craftsman Training Foundation. The foundation’s aim is to accelerate this training by sending craftsmen aged between 21 and 25 overseas to broaden their experience and gain up-to-date knowledge of methods, processes and ideas. Two of the awards will provide for training in the Northern Hemisphere and five more for training in Australia.

The award winners are selected from applications received throughout New Zealand. They will travel overseas for up to two years. Prospective candidates can obtain application forms from the secretary of the foundation, P.O. Box 28090, Auckland 5.
