Lyttelton Red Cross
The Lyttelton eub-centre of the Red Cross Society gave £2O, raised during a successful street day and stall, to the meals-on-wheels scheme in Lyttelton, it was reported at the annual meeting. Members also assisted at the North Canterbury centre’s annual market In Christchurch. Ten cartons of clothing, a carton of potatoes and assorted articles were handed to the centre and assistance was given to victims of Are and misfortune in Lyttelton. Officers elected are: president, Mrs H. G. Banfield; vice-presi-dents, Mesdames S. E. Buchanan, R. Duckworth. H. Loutltt; vice-president, Mrs J. Huston; secretary-treasurer, Mrs L. D. B. Anderson; committee, Mesdames S. W. Blenklnsop, B. Collett, F. Demlcellt, E. M. Donnelly, W. A. Farrar, W. G. Guileford, W. R. Voyce, Sister M. Cheynne.
