The contrasts of India In architecture, industry, transport and geographical structure were shown in an illustrated talk given by Dr. Gwenda Lewis to the Pan Pacific and South-east Asia Women’s Association on Thursday evening. Dr. Lewis, who now lives in Christchurch, lived for 18 years in India, where she was on the staff at Vellore Christian Medical College and Hospital in South India. At the meeting, the president (Mrs G. W. Fairweather) was appointed branch delegate to the Dominion executive of the association.
