Party Of Lifetime

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 7. Six sisters who cannot remember ever before being all together, gathered on Saturday afternoon for the tea party of a lifetime. They are Mrs F. Shine, of Brisbane, Mrs T. E. Shute, of Te Atatu, Mrs A. Carr, of Dannevirke, Mrs W. Wiley, of Grey Lynn, Mrs G. R. Anderson, of Waiau Pa and Mrs M. G. Mallabond, of Epsom. Formerly the Tuckey

sisters, the women and their three brothers were brought up in Ohingaiti, near Taihape. The eldest of the family, Mrs Shine, aged 78, went to Australia 53 years ago, and although she has been back to New Zealand several times the whole family has never before managed a reunion. Mrs Shine returned home this time to attend the jubilee of the Ohingaiti School. The party on Saturday was held in the home of a niece.
