A dental research scholarship, to be called the Early Bros.-Oral scholarship, has been established by Early Bros., Dental and Surgical Supplies Ltd, Christchurch, says the chairman (Mr I. J. Wilson) in his annual report.
The New Zealand Dental Research Foundation, which will administer the scholarship, will own 5500 shares of 5s each in Early Bros.
At a market value of 14s 3d a share; this represents a value of £3919, says Mr Wilson.
At the current rate of dividend (12} per cent) this will provide an annual Income of £172 to finance the annual scholarship. Early Bros, recently completed negotiations to acquire the shareholding of Oral Supplies, Ltd, Auckland.
