Four Vehicles In Accident
Two persons suffered minor injuries and three cars and a van were damaged in an accident in Fitzgerald avenue, near Gloucester street, about 3.40 p.m. yesterday. Mrs Irene Nola Evans, of 33 River road, suffered head injuries, and William Daniel Urwin, of 77 Spencer street, suffered back injuries. Their injuries were treated at a doctor’s surgery. Mrs Evans was driving north along Fitzgerald avenue when her car and a van driven by Mr Urwin collided. The two vehicles bounced apart, and the van struck a parked car, mounted the pavement, and struck a fence, demolishing a section of it. Mrs Evans’s car struck another parked car. Only Mrs Evans’s car was immobilised.
