COLOMBO, April 7.
The Prime Minister of Ceylon, Mr Dudley Senanayake, has proposed a new peace plan to the North Vietnamese to end the Vietnam war. Foreign Ministry officials said yesterday. They added that Mr Senanayake planned to discuss the new proposals and North Vietnamese initial reaction with the United Nations Sec-retary-General, U Thant, who will arrive on Saturday. The officials said Ceylon proposed that North and South Vietnam and the Viet Cong meet for a conference to settle their dispute. Ceylon had offered to be the site for the conference and had proposed there should be no interference by other nations in the talks, they said.
