DJAKARTA, April 7.
The Army today accused Radio Peking of broadcasting guidance to more than 100,000 Chinese and Indonesians to strike against the Government of the Acting President, General Suharto.
The Chief of Staff of the Djakarta garrison, BrigadierGeneral Sutopo Juwono, said that Djakrta and East Java were the focal points for subversion.
About 115,000 Chinese and Indonesians were linked in an illegal subversive movement, he said. Troops and security men were rounding up members of the movement. This followed the arrest of dozens of Chinese in Djakarta accused of financing Communist and subversive activities.
General Juwono said that Peking Radio was used for guidance in subversion against the Government. Meanwhile leaders of the supreme policy - making People’s Consultative Congress dissolved a special committee set up to review the political teachings of the deposed President, Dr. Sukarno.
An announcement said that the committee members had not reached agreement and it would be left to the Indonesian people to evaluate the worth of Dr. Sukarno’s thinking.
