AUCKLAND. Ths Wallington filly, Golden Sands, ths only three-year-old in the field, seems certain to be favourite for the Taranaki Trotting Cup at New Plymouth today. The race is the second leg of the T.A.B. double at the Taranaki Trotting Club’s annual meeting. Golden Sands was very unlucky at the Hawera Easter meeting, at which she gained a second and a fourth. She is sure to have been improved by these races, which were her first for over two months. Victoria, a decisive winner over two miles on the second day at Hawera, is fancied for the first leg,, the Taranaki Trotting Cup. Selections:—
