Play To Be Published
“The Women of Troy,” a one-act play by Brian Gallas, has been selected by the British Drama League for publication as the second volume of a subscription series, the New Zealand Play Library. Performed last week by the Elmwood Players, “The Women of Troy” is the second of Mr Gallas’s plays to be produced. He has been writing plays since he was in primary school, and his “Electra” was performed by the Elmwood Players last year. He is a Latin honours student at the University of Canterbury. The New Zealand Play Library is a scheme to publish New Zealand one-act plays on a subscription basis. It began in Christchurch and has subscribers in all parts of the country.
