music can be most beneficial in times of driving stress. Others say “pop” music tends to increase fuel consumption: drivers sometimes tap their accelerator foot slightly in time to the music. But 1 think that trying to hold a conversation with a passenger is far more distracting than listening to light music on the car radio, but the reaction probably varies from person to person.
