Warnings Issued An inquiry was held in the breaking of Phillmark, Medico, and Doug’s Choice at the start of the first heat of the Easter Cup at Addington last evening. It was found that Medico ran in and checked Chequer Board. Doug’s Choice also broke and checked Master Alan. Phillmark failed to begin correctly. D. G. Jones, the trainer of Medico, R. W. Stockdale, the trainer of Phillmark, and C. A. C. Wilson, the owner of Doug’s Choice, were warned that action would be taken unless the barrier manners of the horses improved. In the same race Humphrey (W. E. Lowe) returned to the birdcage with a buckled wheel. This was caused by Tobias pulling hard and J. Butcher being unable to prevent him hitting Humphrey’s wheel. Over the concluding stages of the race Tobias could not get a clear run. Vauxhall Prince was declared ineligible to race at a totalisator meeting until after May 6. He broke in the straight the first time in the Bryndwr Handicap and disorganised the field.
