PRODUCTION RISING
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 14. Since 1963 the production of vegetables for quick-freez-ing processing had increased steadily and the future of the industry was “indeed promising,” the secretary of the Vegetable and Produce Growers’ Federation (Mr D. Goble) said today. The industry took 15,206 tons of vegetables in 1963, 16,179 tons in 1964, 15,341 tons in 1965, and 18,835 tons in 1966.
