Thanksgiving Services
The Presbytery of Christchurch has recommended that all congregations within its bounds hold special thanksgiving services on Sunday, May 14, for the official Act of Commitment service of the five negotiating churches, in Wellington on Wednesday, May 10. Representatives of the Presbytery at the Wellington service will be the Moderator, the Rev. A. W. Baxter, and Miss C. I. Johnston.
Invitation Declined. The multi world record-holder, R. G. Clarke (Australia), has declined an invitation to compete in the Hastings Highland Gamea on March 25.
