Bishop’s XI Winner
Archdeacon Norris, a grandson of Archdeacon Dudley who gave Dudley Park to the Rangiora community, was one of the umpires in the annual cricket match between Bishop Pyatt’s XI and Dean Underhill’s XI at Rangiora yesterday. The match, graced as ft has always been by fine weather, was won by the Bishop’s XI. Scores:— Bishop Pyatt’s XI (R. .A. Roberton 35, A. Georgantis 29, H. Thomson 21, R. A. Williams 21, W. A. Pyatt 15; R. A. Carson 4/36) beat Dean Underhill’s XI 128 (R. A. Lowe 41, J. Keith 39; Roberton 3/27, Georgantis 3/32). Amt. Ruin.—Plans are being made for an Australian rules football league in England after two teams In London on Saturday played for a silver cup flven by the Agent-General for outh Australia, Mr K. L. Milne.
