Errors in the required times for some events at the first session of the Wharenui Junior Olympics on Saturday concealed the fact that three further records had been broken, making a total of 13 for the day. Michael Lee (Wharenui), with a time of Imin 30.2 sec, clipped almost lOsec from the three lengths medley mark for boys under 11; he also reduced the one length breaststroke record by half a second. In the under-11 girls’ three lengths medley Susan Hinter (Spreydon) beat the required time of Imin 48sec by 6sec.
