Marlborough Festival
The New Zealand under-18 championship sword dance which was held at the Marlborough festival highland gathering on Saturday, was won by Rosemary Armstrong, of Christchurch. Nanette Collinson, of New Plymouth, was runner-up, and Judith Shellock, of Christchurch, was third. Results of other events were:
South Island Championship Sword Dance, under 16.—Judith Shellock (Christchurch) 1, Nanette Collinson (New Plymouth) 2, Kim Whitta (Wellington) 3. Wellington Provincial Championship Sailor’s Hornpipe, open.—Glenie Lister (Wellington) 1, Nanette Collinson 2, Judith Shellock 3.
