Air Pollution
Sir, —Air pollution appears in our city to concern no-one but those in close vicinity to an offender. Do the remainder of the population realise that the air sewer affects all finally? Pollution stems from lack of attention to continual spread and additions to the already over-full coverage by smoke and fumes in air inversion conditions and admixtures with heavy petrol content on hot sunny days. We can but wonder why health and medical authorities appear to be without voice in council or planning decisions. Individuals are in no position to contend by means of injunction methods. Does no-one except the sufferers even notice what goes on in neglect of health promotion? Yours, WHO CARES? February 27, 1967.
