WELLINGTON, Feb. 23. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) referred today to a report of Malaysian determination not to use New Zealand troops on the Thai border. “The statement by the Malaysian military leaders accords with our own understanding of the situation,” said Mr Holyoake. He defined the situation as being that in present circumstances the Malaysian armed forces are able without outside help to contain the threat posed by Communist terrorist forces on the Malaysian-Thai border.
