(N Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) RED BANK (New Jersey). Holcombe Ward, the last surviving member of the United States first Davis Cup tennis team, died at his home at Red Bank on Monday. He was 88. Ward was a member of the team that beat the British Isles, 3-0, in the match inaugurating the international competition in 1900. He was teamed with Dwight Davis, donor of the trophy.
