Santana Turns Down Offer
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) MADRID. The Spanish tennis player, Santana, has turned down an offer to turn professional. Santana, last year’s Wimbledon champion, said he had received an offer from the Professional Tennis Players’ Association, but had refused it after careful consideration, because of his “feeling of responsibility towards Spanish tennis.”
At present Santana is recovering from a recent operation on his right ankle.
